The Shredder Principle

Every Bekedo product is built on one rule: your data never leaves your device. Not because we promise it — because we built it that way. POPIA compliant by design, not by policy.

"Build tools that solve real problems. Keep the data safe. It was never ours to begin with — so we make sure you keep it."

Bekedo Mission — Privacy by design, not by policy

who we are

Built by someone who
lived the problem.

Bekedo was built by an educator turned technologist who spent years inside the systems that needed fixing — schools, IT departments, under-resourced classrooms. The tools exist because the problems are real, the data shows it, and the people experiencing it deserve better than what was available.

The name Bekedo comes from two isiXhosa roots: uncedo (help, assistance — the act of giving yourself to help another) and beka (to place forward, to put something into the world).
